Sundays at Six presents Absolution June 25!

Enjoy free music throughout the summer presented to you by The Alamosa Live Music Association. Sundays at Six kicks off with the winner of ALMA’s Battle of the Bands, Antonito’s own Absolution. Their unique sound is characterized by heavy guitar riffs, powerful drumming, and emotive lyrics that explore themes of love, loss, and empowerment. Head on over to Cole Park at 6:00 PM and enjoy some quality live music right here in Alamosa! The Papa Murphy’s food truck will be on site selling their delicious pizza (including a gluten-free option) and beverages. Please bring a non-perishable item for the food drive to benefit the Alamosa Food Pantry. Can’t make it to the park? Catch the show livestreaming on ALMA’s Facebook page: https://www.facebook.com/almalivemusic

Absolution is a rock band from Antonito that formed in 2017. Their members have been training since the age of twelve on multiple instruments. This hard work has helped them develop a unique sound. They have had multiple releases and success on social media and can be found on all streaming platforms including Spotify and iTunes. Come on out and enjoy the arresting vocals of Liz Samora, powerful guitar of Erik Lucero, the driving bass of Alex Flores, and the thundering drums of Matt Samora. Together they form the mighty band Absolution!

Continuing this summer: ALMA is partnering with RSVP (Retired & Senior Volunteer Program) of Alamosa County and the Food Bank Network of San Luis Valley by having a food drive at each Sundays at Six concert this summer, to benefit the Alamosa Food Pantry. All are invited to contribute a non-perishable item or two for this food drive. Look for the receptacles under the ALMA tent at each concert. Some ideas of much-needed items include: canned meat (tuna and chicken), peanut butter & other nut butters, low-sodium canned veggies & beans, healthy snacks (low-sugar granola bars, dried fruit, etc.), gluten free items, healthy canned or boxed meals (chili, etc.), shelf-stable milk and milk alternatives. Help us address food insecurity in Alamosa County!
