Where do you hope to see the organization go in the next 5-10 years?
Beyond Alamosa in collaboration with locally owned venues in places like Monte Vista, Ft Garland and others I want to see the organization become more bold and innovative when it comes to fundraising and work collaboratively with local venues and small businesses outside of Main Street Alamosa. I hope to see ALMA explore other ways that we can collaborate with local partners to strengthen the music ecosystem that exists in Colorado. I hope to see ALMA collaborate with these organizations in 2026 and beyond: L8GACY Project, The Church Project, Warm Cookies of the Revolution, Futuretown Tour, Fort Garland Museum, and more.
Kevin Hernandez
Outgoing Board Member | 2025
The Alamosa Live Music Association would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to Kevin Hernandez for his dedicated service as a board member in 2025. Kevin’s thoughtful leadership and enthusiasm for live music have strengthened our organization and helped us bring more music to the San Luis Valley. We are deeply grateful for the time, energy, and care he has invested in ALMA and our community.
How long have you been a part of ALMA and how did you get involved?
I was a board member in 2025 and was invited to be a board member by Nancy Harris.
You are very active in the community and are a part of many different projects and organizations. Any we should put on our radar?
The Valle Libre Open Mic is an event I highly recommend that everyone check out. We are lucky to have some very beautiful and uplifting experiences for people of literally all ages. I invite you to come and be a part of one. They happen every Second Sunday of the Month. You can find a list of those events at www.l8gacy.com
I highly recommend you checkout these organizations and projects:
