Board & Staff | Will Krebs

What are you currently excited about regarding ALMA and what project(s) are you a part of?

I love that in addition to Sundays at Six we now have two other concerts that are becoming signature events, Battle of the Bands and Roaming Rhythms. I always get excited about band selection for all of these events. I think we are doing a great job in the diversity of genres we are promoting.

Will Krebs

Board Member, President | 2020 – Present

Where are you originally from and what brought you to the San Luis Valley?

I grew up in Colorado outside of Denver, but spent the 20 years prior to moving to Alamosa in Florida. I moved to the valley 11 years ago to take a job managing a fish farm outside of Sanford.

How long have you been a part of ALMA and how did you get involved?

I have been on the board a little over 5 years and now serve as President. I became a board member after having a few discussions with Nancy (executive director) about my love of music while we both were members of the San Luis Valley Pride Committee.

Please share a story about your work/experience with ALMA.

I think a highlight of working with ALMA for me is our annual Sundays at Six watch party. The whole programming committee getting together to discuss music and our collective vision of the next years Sundays at Six lineup is always enjoyable.

Why is music important to you? Why do you think it is important for our community?

Music is a great way to bring our small community together. I think that ALMA’s concerts give the people of the valley a way to to put aside our differences for a few hours and just enjoy life through music.
