ALMA’s Battle of the Bands on Saturday, June 1, at Summerfest on the Rio, was a resounding success. Five bands competed in front of a full audience, and a panel of expert judges. The winner was 1000 shadows, who had the crowd dancing in front of the stage. The prize is a $1,000 contract to perform at Sundays at Six on August 18th in Cole Park. 1000 shadows was formed in 2022 in Pueblo Colorado, consisting of co-workers and long time friends taking pride in writing original alternative rock music. Band members are Jim Miller, lead vocals, Edward Dennis, rhythm guitar and backing vocals, Shaw Harrison, lead guitar, Jon Conley, bass, and Brett Pavlik, drums. We hope to see you dancing in the grass at Cole Park on August 18th!
