We are excited to host “Local Night” with folk band Sweet Radish and blues group “Reverend and the Blues Pushers” at the Sundays at Six concert, July 13th in Cole Park, Alamosa.
Local Night will celebrate the diversity of music found in the SLV and will promote supporting local talent and businesses. The event will be hosted by rapper and KRZA program director Gerald Rodriguez aka G Stylez. With two great local bands performing be prepared for an extended concert that will be sure to get you out of your lawn chair and dancing!
The concert will kick off with the down to earth acoustic band Sweet Radish. Formed in 2010, the band performs a mixture of originals and traditional folk and bluegrass tunes. Sweet Radish is passionate about San Luis Valley and their mission is to give the community a reason and a place to get down. Band Members include Morgan Velasquez, Abe Rosenberg, Wilson Luallen.
Following Sweet Radish’s set, the Reverend and the Blues Pushers will take the stage and switch the mood from bluegrass to blues. The band performs a full range of blues music from the classics to originals in Swing, West Coast Jump, Chicago and Texas shuffle styles. With solid guitar licks by Ben Sailors, honking blues harpin’ and singin’ from the lead Allen Kleine Deters and a great steady rhythm section, they get the place jumpin and jivin’. Band members include Allen Kleine Deters, Ben Sailors, Skyler Choice, Josh Kleine Deters and Caleb Clark.
